Brooklyn Fellows is an intensive 9-month discipleship program now in its fifth year. Through group discussions, readings and the spiritual disciplines, Fellows explore the implications of the Gospel in their lives and the world. The next round of Brooklyn Fellows begins in September 2017 and ends in June 2018. Applications are now available and will be accepted until May 31st. Space is limited. Email Pastor Marc Choi at email@example.com for more information and the application.
Resurrection Brooklyn Heights is hosting “The BIG Event” with St. Francis College on Saturday, April 1st from 10 a.m. to noon. It’s a FREE basketball and arts and crafts event for kids ages 3-7. RSVP to Joe Dewey at Joe@resurrectionbrooklyn.org because space is limited.
Church is to be place where we experience home. Our hope is that Resurrection Brooklyn Heights is a place where you are known and know others, love and are loved. We hope that through your experience of worship and community, you find a stability and strength that empowers you to live the life God calls you to live.
Of course, all of this takes time to develop. One simple way we hope to provide an opportunity to develop relationships is through gathering for a meal. On the first Sunday of every month, we will have lunch together at Custom House in Brooklyn Heights after our worship service. No need to RSVP; simply show up.
Resurrection Brooklyn Heights is a part of a larger network of churches called Resurrection Brooklyn. Together, we are seeking the flourishing our borough by seeking the flourishing of our neighborhoods. Though most of our work is done as individual congregations, some of it is done together. One ministry we all support is RezYouth. RezYouth meets on Friday nights at 6:30 p.m. at our central office in Downtown Brooklyn.
If you have kids, or know of any kids in middle school and high school, that might like to join, please let them know about our youth group. Any questions can be directed to Michael Subracko or the Youth Group Director, Steven Gil.
