Alex is excited and honored to be the Music Director at Resurrection Brooklyn Heights. Alex hopes to create an environment of communal singing, praise and reflection that points everyone to the Gospel of Christ.
Originally from New Orleans, Alex grew up in a musical family. There he attended the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts|Riverfront for Piano Performance. Alex has been in New York City since 2012, by way of Syracuse, where he received a bachelor degree in music composition. He also holds a Masters in composition from the Manhattan School of Music where he now works in the Peter Jay Sharp Music Library. Alum of 2015, Alex is a Gotham Fellow through the Center for Faith and Work of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
Alex enjoys cigars, meals with friends and family, running, saints football, books on history, and any combination of these things with his wife Michele and their poodle, Claude.
